The Fond du Lac County Board is on record in support of a Highway 23 expansion project. The board approved a resolution at their meeting this week supporting the expansion of 23 to four lanes between Fond du lac and Plymouth. The project has been held up by a lawsuit filed by an environmental and land-use group and now because of transportation cuts in the state budget:. “Obviously because of the budget issues in the transportation budget, because they chose not to raise revenue, this one is kicked out two years,” County executive Al Buechel told WFDL news. Buechel says he believes the project is needed from a safety standpoint.
