The Fond du Lac County District Attorney says a nearly one thousand page DOJ report on the fatal shooting of a state patrol trooper in Fond du Lac shows how quickly the entire incident unfolded. Video footage shows law enforcement squad cars converging on a grocery store parking lot…all within seconds of each other as Tropper Trevor Casper and bank robbery suspect Steven Snyder exchanged gunfire. District attorney Eric Toney says the report shows that a woman in another car was right there when the shooting began. “Trever was making these decisions in such a short time frame. He wasn’t acting like a trooper that was out there on his first day, you would have thought that he was a 10. 15. 20 year seasoned veteran and he made multiple heroic decisions in those 17 seconds,” Toney told AM 1170 WFDL’s Between the Lines program. The report also included a rambling manifesto from Snyder where he wrote that he would rather die than go to prison.
