Managing digital records, replacing police squad cars with SUVs and purchasing new tactical equipment are among the items that will be included in next year’s Fond du Lac police department budget. Police Chief Bill Lamb gave the Fond du lac city council a preview of the budget at a recent meeting. The Fond du lac police department isn’t the only law enforcement agency transitioning to patrol SUVs. The Dodge and Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Offices have also been replacing older squad cars with SUVs.
