Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue has teamed up with the JF Ahern Company to have an automatic residential sprinkler system installed in the 2015 Habitat for Humanity Home at 596 S. Main Street. The partnership with JF Ahern has provided the opportunity to install a sprinkler system in the FDL Habitat Homes for the past four years. Assistant chief of Fire prevention Troy Haase says a sprinkler system is a wise investment when building new. “You get a fire sprinkler system that is activated, typically a one or two head system, a fire starts the head activates and puts the fire out.”
