The Fond du Lac School Board president says the district is doing everything it can to hold down taxes while still providing quality education. The board got its first look at a preliminary budget during a workshop last week. The budget includes a nearly five percent tax rate increase and staff reductiosn through attrition. School Board president Julie Nett says school officials are expecting to see an increase in enrollment this school year when the third Friday counts come out at the end of September.
