Agnesian HealthCare has announced a fundraising effort to expand the Hospice Home of Hope. The fundraising goal is $2.5 million to help fund a 7,300 square foot addition, nearly doubling its current size. The expansion- slated to begin in spring 2016 – will add 10 new private rooms increasing total rooms to 22. Zimmerman Architectural Studios, Milwaukee, is serving as architect, with CD Smith Construction as general contractor. The Hospice Home of Hope opened on County Road K in 2000 to provide hospice care to individuals who are diagnosed with a terminal disease. Recent national statistics show that more than 1.6 million people receive hospice services each year, and that number is expected to climb as Baby Boomers continue to age and begin to face the end of their lifetimes.
