Marian University has been awarded a five-year, $1 million TRiO-Student Support Services program grant through the U.S. Department of Education. Beginning next month the University will be awarded $220,000 annually throughout the duration of the grant. This grant is the second five-year TRiO-SSS grant that Marian University has received. The goal of the educational program is to increase the college retention and graduation rates of its participants. Participating students receive individualized assistance in navigating their path to earn a bachelor’s degree and into a career. The Marian TRiO-SSS program will provide 140 students annually with academic coaching and guidance, information about financial aid and economic literacy, and provide support and resources to help students transition from undergraduate to graduate or professional studies.
