MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A new poll shows a tightening in the race for U.S. Senate between former U.S. Sen. Russ Feingold and Republican U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson. The Marquette University Law School poll released Thursday shows Feingold with 47 percent support among registered voters, compared with 42 percent for Johnson. In the last poll done in April, Feingold was ahead of Johnson 54 percent to 38 percent. Feingold is seeking a rematch with Johnson, who defeated him in 2010. The poll of 802 registered voters was done between Aug. 13 and Aug. 16. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.3 percentage points. The election is more than 14 months away.
