MILWAUKEE (AP) — A transgender Wisconsin prison inmate is suing officials, saying they are violating her rights by not allowing her to live as a woman. Dominique Gulley was sentenced to 11 years in prison after stealing a car in 2010. Gulley says officials won’t allow her to continue the hormone treatments that she began six years before going to prison.
