8-26-15 ripon man accused of hiding brother’s body found competent

A Ripon man accused of hiding his brother’s body has been found competent to stand trial in Fond du Lac County.  Investigators say Robert Diamentis placed the body of his 45 year old brother in a barrell at a residence on Olden Road after his brother died back in February.  The body was discovered in May when sheriff’s deputies made a welfare check.  According to a criminal complaint Diamentis told detectives his brother suffered from a medical condition which causes mobility and coordination issues and was very difficult to care for.  He says his brother died February 24^th, but he didn’t report the death because he was concerned people would accuse him of mistreating his brother.
