OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) — Leaders in Oshkosh say a lucrative military contract will have a ripple effect across Wisconsin. Executives with Oshkosh Corporation along with state and local officials Wednesday hailed a $6.7 billion Army contract awarded to build the Humvee’s replacement. The award means Wisconsin-based Oshkosh will produce about 17,000 Joint Light Tactical Vehicles for the Army and Marines.
