The Fond du Lac city manager has released a proposed five year Capital Improvement Plan. The nearly $90 million plan includes spending a low of $15.3 million in 2016 to a high of nearly $19 million in 2017. City manager Joe Moore says some of the more significant projects for next year include more than $580,000 to complete bike paths at Lakeside Park and Camelot Drive and over a half million dollars for other park improvements. Seven hundred thousand dollars is earmarked in 2017 for a new police/fire training facility and one point five million would be spent over five years for police squad car replacements. The CIP also includes $5 million to remove ammonia from the wastewater treatment system and two million dollars for transit bus replacements.
