One person has died and another suffered life-threatening injuries in a one vehicle crash in Dodge County Thursday night. On September 10, 2015 at 7:11pm, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle crash on Morningside Rd east of CTH R in the Township of Lebanon, Dodge County, Wisconsin. Preliminary investigation shows that Robert L. Buske (21 years old, from rural Watertown, WI) was operating a Ford pickup truck traveling East on Morningside Road when the truck entered the south ditch and struck a culvert. The truck vaulted and overturned, ejecting both occupants. Buske was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dodge County Medical Examiner. The passenger of the pickup truck (Matthew L. Pankow, 19 years old, from rural Watertown, WI) sustained life threatening injuries and was flown from the scene by Flight for Life Helicopter to Aurora Summit Hospital in Oconomowoc. Alcohol, speed and failure to wear seatbelts appear to be factors in the crash. Assisting at the scene was: Lebanon Fire Department, Lebanon EMS, Watertown Paramedics, Flight For Life Helicopter, Dodge County Medical Examiner‘s Office and the Dodge County Emergency Response Team. The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Crash Investigation Team.
