The UW Fond du Lac Dean says he will know within about a month if he gets the job as the northeast regional executive dean that will oversee three, two year campuses. UW-Fond du Lac Dean John Short applied for the post which will be responsible for UW FDL, UW Fox Valley and UW Manitowac. Short says the biggest challenge for the Regional Dean will be to make sure that person is connected. The consolidation was announced earlier this summer in reaction to a $5 million budget cut and includes the elimination of dozens of mostly campus administration positions. Short says about six positions will be eliminated in Fond du Lac.
