The latest of cost of living data shows Fond du Lac is an affordable place to live work and raise a family. That according to Jo Ann Giese-Kent, Director of Entrepreneurship and Business Intelligence with the Fond du Lac County Economic Development Corporation. “We are actually 3.4 percent below the national average. The national average is 100 and we are 96.6 in the second quarter,” Giese-Kent told WFDL news. “If we compare it to the other communities that are collecting cost of living pricing we are ranked third lowest.” Giese Kent says the composite index is based on six different categories including housing, groceries and healthcare.
