MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A Democratic state senator has drawn up a pair of bills that would ban hunting and limit the types of mechanisms trappers can use in state parks. Sen. Fred Risser of Madison says park visitors shouldn’t have to worry about being shot and trapping is inhumane. One bill would ban hunting in the parks completely. The other would outlaw steel-jawed traps, body-gripping raps and snares.
