A Fond du Lac woman is back home after completing the anchor leg of a cross country race to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis research. Amy Van Dyke, Melissa Schmidt and Rick Schmidt all participated in the cross country relay called MS Run US. Van Dyke ran more than 180 miles from Pennsylvania to New York. “I ran from Sunbury Pennsylvania to New York City, 185 miles, seven marathons through the Appalachian Mountains,” Van Dyke told WFDL news. Van Dyke says the group raised thousands of dollars in the fight against MS.
