A spokesman for Mercury Marine says no final decision has been made yet on where the weigh-in will be held for next summer’s Fond du Lac Walleye Weekend Merc National Walleye fishing tournament. For the last couple of years the weigh-in has been held at the Lakeside Park lighthouse…but a survey showed a majority of the anglers wanted to return to Oven Island, now that the channels have been dredged. Merc spokesman Steve Fleming says Merc has asked for a cost estimate on building permanent docks on Oven Island…but no final decision has been made on whether that will be done.
