MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Gov. Scott Walker’s approval rating is still falling even after his exit from the presidential race last week. A Marquette University Law School poll released Wednesday shows Walker’s job approval rating is 37 percent. That is down from 39 percent in August, when he was in the midst of his failed presidential run. Walker abruptly dropped out on Sept. 21. The poll of 803 registered voters was done between Sept. 24 and Monday. The margin of error is plus or minus 4.1 percentage points. With Walker out of the race, the poll shows 20 percent of Republicans favor Donald Trump for president, followed by Ben Carson with 16 percent and Marco Rubio with 14 percent. The margin of error on that question is higher at 6.5 percentage points. Poll director Charles Franklin will be a guest at 9:30am Thursday on AM 1170 WFDL’s Between the Lines program.
