The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents to keep their doors locked following a daytime residential burglary. The Sheriff’s Office says the incident happened Thursday afternoon at a residence on Winnebago Drive. A resident walked to her neighbors and returned home about 45 minutes later to find her home was burglarized. Sheriff’s captain Rick Olig says the woman heard the patio door open and close indicating someone fled her residence while she was there. The thief or thieves stole medications and money. The Sheriff’s Office says there have been similar incidents in the city of Fond du Lac within the past few weeks. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office.
