It may be October, but construction work continues on Fond du lac County roadways. Fond du Lac County Highway CommissionerTom Jahnke says the weather cooperated this summer allowing highway crews to complete several projects throughout the county. “Right now we’re doing some paved shouldering on Highway 151 and Ducharme Parkway, also finished patching on Highway 44 out of Ripon. That road is tentatively scheduled for a rehab next year,” Jahnke told WFDL news. Jahnke says about 16 miles of paving projects are planned for next summer. “Highway I, which we’re still working on right now, Highway AS from Highway 151 to County Trunk D, Rolling Meadows VVV from Highway D to Highway 23, and Highway G north to Highway 67 excluding the intersection with Highway SS,” Jahnke said. Jahnke says the final project is Highway Y between Orchard Road and Highway T.
