The City of Fond du Lac’s annual leaf collection will begin on Monday with crews starting in the northeast section of the city. The collection will proceed in a clockwise direction – to the southeast, southwest, and northwest sections. The leaf collection process will continue for approximately seven weeks, ending on Friday, December 4. Again this year there will be a map available on the City’s website indicating the progress collection crews have made to date. The Public Works Department anticipates that crews will complete approximately three clockwise sweeps through the city this fall, weather and time permitting. If you don’t want to wait you can haul leaves to the City’s yard waste drop off site on Doty Street. Leaves should be raked in rows next to the curb for collection by City crews. City crews will not pick up leaves in plastic bags.
