One person was killed and two people were severely injured in a three vehicle traffic accident Wednesday night in Dodge County. The crash happened on Highway 73 near the intersection with County Trunk FW in the Town of Calamus. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Department says a southbound farm tractor towing a corn picker and gravity box began a left turn just as a southbound SUV began to pass the farm equipment on the left. As the crash occurred, another southbound vehicle struck the gravity box. A passenger in the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. The SUV driver was severely injured and flown from the scene by Theda Star helicopter to UW Hospital in Madison. The driver of the tractor was severely injured and flown from the scene by Flight for Life helicopter to UW Hospital in Madison. The driver of the second car involved was uninjured. The accident remains under investigation.
