A Lomira man was injured in a car versus tree crash over the weekend. The crash happened shortly before 10pm Friday on Timberlane Dr in the town of Ashford. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, Campbellsport EMS and Fire, along with City of Fond du Lac Fire Department Paramedics responded to the scene. Preliminary investigation indicates a southbound vehicle failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and traveled off the roadway striking a tree. The operator and lone occupant, a 26 year old male from Lomira, was transported from the scene by ambulance with serious injuries. He was later transferred to Froedtert Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries. Failure to Maintain Control and Alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash. The accident remains under investigation by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office.
