Korean War veteran Vic Rose has been honored as the Marian University and Sunny 97.7 October veteran of the month. Rose worked as a cook in the U.S. Army. Today he volunteers with the newly launched Agnesian HealthCare Veteran to Veteran program at the Hospice Home of Hope. Staci Schumacher with Hospice Volunteer Services says Rose provides support and friendship for veterans nearing the end of their lives. “A lot of veterans face different fears when they get to their end of life. They want to know that what they’ve done is okay,” Schumacher told WFDL news. ” They have issues that are both emotional and physical at the end of life and Vic will meet with them and be a companionship.”
