Peter Grimm, Circuit Court Judge of Branch 2, Fond du Lac County, has announced that he will run for re-election at the Spring Election on April 5, 2016. Grimm received his juris doctor from University of Wisconsin Law School, a BBA from UW Madison, and graduated from Marquette University High School. Grimm said, “I am honored to serve the citizens and legal community of Fond du Lac County. My judicial philosophy is to be fair and impartial for all cases no matter how small, treat all parties with respect, work hard, be fiscally prudent, manage the calendar to provide prompt court dates, uphold my Oath of Office, and to impose sentences that enhance the safety of our community.” Judge Grimm chairs the Courthouse Security Committee and the OWI Victim Impact Panel Committee. Grimm also organized and moderated three forums on the US Constitution with the Fond du Lac Bar Assn. Grimm noted that issues to be addressed the next term include going paperless – no court files, e-filing, seeking upgrades to building security, and transitioning the VIP program in house from contracted. Grimm, 59, is a member of the State and Fond du Lac Bar of Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Trial Judges Association, Noon Kiwanis Club, Friends of the Library, Elks Lodge 57, and past president of the FDL Bar Assn., FDL Soccer Assn., and the Fond du Lac Ski Team.
