SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (AP) — Prosecutors are recommending five years in prison for a former Sheboygan alderman who reached a plea deal on sex assault charges. Kevin MatiChek pleaded no contest Friday to several felony charges, including sexually assaulting a minor and bribery. In exchange, the rest of the charges were dismissed. District Attorney Joe DeCecco will recommend five years in prison for MatiChek followed by three years of extended supervision. The 34-year-old MatiChek was accused of sexually assaulting a teenage boy last year. He was also charged with child sexual assault in Ozaukee County, from incidents around 2002 and 2003. That case was consolidated into the Sheboygan case. Sentencing is set for February 9th. The judge is not bound by the plea deal.
