12-9-15 fdl county residents can ride a school bus to milwaukee to attend supervised release plan hearing for violent sex offender

Town of Eldorado residents will be traveling by school bus to Milwaukee next week to show their opposition to the proposed placement of a Milwaukee sex offender in a Fond du Lac County home.  A supervised release placement hearing for Clint Rhymes will be held next Wednesday in Milwaukee County Circuit Court. Earl Degner lives on Nitschke Road…just a few houses away from where Rhymes would be placed.  Rhymes spent 25 years in prison for a violent sexual assault and attempted homicide in Milwaukee County.  “I’m a school bus driver and I got the idea, why don’t we take a school bus down?  I’m going to sponsor a school bus, but I need at least 40 people to sign up,”  Degner told WFDL news.  “…that we could sit in at this hearing and show that we are opposed from Fond du lac County, because this affects all of us.” Degner and Fond du Lac County Sheriff Mick Fink both say residents are adamantly opposed to the placement plan.   “They’re very upset about it, its the talk of the neighborhood,”  Degner said.   “I haven’t had an issue that has generated this much conversation,”  Sheriff Fink said.  Any area resident interested in traveling on the bus to Milwaukee next week may contact Eldorado Town Chairman Gary Miller at (920) 948-1390 to reserve a spot on the bus.  There is no cost .  The bus will leave the Eldorado Fire House on Townhall Road at 9am on December 16th.
