A Ripon man convicted of hiding his brother’s body is going to prison. At a hearing Tuesday Fond du Lac judge Dale English sentenced Robert Diamentis to three years in prison followed by two years of extended supervision. Investigators say Diamentis placed the body of his 45 year old brother in a barrell at a residence on Olden Road after his brother died back in February. The body was discovered in May when sheriff’s deputies made a welfare check. According to a criminal complaint Diamentis told detectives his brother suffered from a medical condition and was very difficult to care for. He says his brother died February 24th, but he didn’t report the death because he was concerned people would accuse him of mistreating his brother.
