The state Public Service Commission says water rates are going up in Fond du Lac starting January. The PSC last week approved a seven percent increase in water rates per quarter. The average residential customer in Fond du Lac will be paying $7.71 more or about $125 per quarter for water. That’s higher than the state average for similar sized water utilities including Oshkosh, Sheboygan, Appleton and Neenah. The higher rates will boost annual revenue by $733,480 to a total of $12.8 million.
