The very first week of the new year there is a soiree being held at Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts. This event will be free and open to the public. This past May, the Producers of the Around the Corner with John McGivern TV show spent a week in our area shooting a Fond du Lac edition of this popular PBS program. It is the show’s tradition to screen the show in the community prior to its airing on TV. In keeping with that tradition there will be a premiere the evening of Wednesday January 6, 2016 at THELMA, McGivern will be conducting Q & A sessions in his own unique and fun style. (For those of you not familiar with Mr. McGivern or the show – he is a popular, nationally recognized comedian who stars in this travelogue-type program aired throughout the state.) There will be two showings – an early showing will take place at 5:30 pm with the second presentation at 7 pm. The show is free and guests are welcome but space is limited and attendees will only be allowed entrance if they have been properly ticketed. To obtain tickets contact THELMA at 920.921.5410 or simply go online to thelmaarts.org.
