Fond du Lac police had to use a Taser before taking a Fond du Lac woman into custody following an alcohol related crash last week. Twenty three year old Michelle Wescher is charged with discharging bodily fluids at a police officer, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and bail jumping. Police and rescue personnel were called to the scene near the intersection of 5th and Main Streets shortly before 6:30pm last Wednesday evening. Police captain Jon Gutzmann told WFDL news Wescher was northbound on Main Street when she left the road, crashed between two parked vehicles, jumped the curb and slammed into the southside of Ziggy’s Pub. Nobody was injured. Gutzmann said when officers arrived on the scene Wescher initially tried to walk away, then became combative, spit in the officer’s face and tried to hit the officer. The officer used a Taser to subdue Wescher before taking her into custody. In October Wescher was convicted in connection with an online prostitution ring in Oshkosh.
