1-2-16 high speed chase suspect charged

A Milwaukee man has been charged in connection with a high speed chase in Fond du Lac County last week.  Eighteen year old Corey Nash made his initial Fond du Lac court appearance Wednesday on charges of recklessly endangering safety, driving a stolen vehicle, fleeing an officer and resisting.  Bail was set at $30,000 cash.  A preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 8^th.   On December 26th a sheriff’s deputy clocked the suspect vehicle at 97 miles an hour on I-41 at County Highway N.   Just south of the city of Fond du Lac Nash tried to avoid stop sticks placed on  the interstate. The vehicle entered the median and Nash fled on foot.   He was apprehended about three quarters of a mile away.  Oakfield firefighters were called to extinguish a small grass fire that had started under the vehicle.
