A Ripon man is in custody and nobody was injured in a shooting incident in Ripon Wednesday evening. Shortly after 6pm Wednesday police received a call of shots fired in the vicinity of the Horicon Bank. A female witness said she heard three shots fired and saw a man with what appeared to be a gun on the south side of the 100 block of Thorne Street. When police arrived, officers say the saw the suspect run back into the residence at 117 Thorne Street. Police set up a perimeter and eventually took the man into custody without further incident. Officers recovered a semi-automatic assault rifle. The 28 year old man was transported to the Fond du lac County Jail.
