The city of Fond du Lac is on record in support of modifications to the intersection of Highway 23 and K. The city council this week approved a resolution supporting changes to the intersection with an anticipated traffic increase due to the expansion at St. Mary’s Springs Academy. City engineer, Paul DeVries, says it’s the best option that was available. The DOT will hold a public information meeting on the project April 14th at UW-Fond du Lac. Devries says construction is expected to start later this summer and be completed sometime during the school year. The modified intersection will allow northbound 23 traffic to turn left to get to the school. Northbound Highway K traffic will no longer be able to turn left on 23 to get into the city.
