A new downtown Fond du lac exploratory committee has been formed and will meet once a month. Former councilmember and downtown business owner Sam Meyer has been named chairman of the 17 member committee. Meyer says the committee hopes to use the resources of the UW-Fond du Lac Extension office to help facilitate the meetings. The committee was formed to look into ways to improve the downtown and report back to the city council before the end of the year.
