One the most prominent and respected Civil Rights leaders is campaigning all out for Hilary Clinton. Georgia congressman John Lewis is on the campaign trail..encouraging Wisconsin residents to vote for Clinton next Tuesday. “I am a supporter of Hilary Clinton. I have known her, she has a strong and deep commitment toward protecting the rights of all of our people,” Lewis said. In 2008 Lewis was backing Clinton until Barack Obama got into the race. That’s when he switched his endorsement to Obama. Today, Lewis is all in for Clinton. “We’ve come too far, we’ve made too much progress to stop now or to go backward.” Lewis was a guest on AM 1170’s Between the Lines program.
