Former Wisconsin Lieutenant governor Barbara Lawton is on the campaign trail in Wisconsin for Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders. “In this moment in time I feel a tremendous urgency for the kind of leadership that is both strong enough and realistic enough to address the issues that are threatening our country and the biggest one is money in politics,” Lawton told AM 1170 WFDL’s Between the Lines program. Lawton says she decided to endorse Sanders in this election even though she was involved in Hilary Clinton’s presidential campaign in 2008. Lawton says she believes Sander’s promises for universal health care and free college are doable.
