The brother of former president George W. Bush and former presidential candidate Jeb Bush says he has jumped on the Ted Cruz bandwagon. Neil Bush says voting for Cruz is the best way to defeat Donald Trump. Before endorsing Cruz, Neil Bush had supported his brother Jeb’s presidential campaign. “I’ve jumped on the Cruz bandwagon because I think Ted is right now the only true Republican alternative to Trump who is not really a Republican,” Bush said. The youngest of the Bush brothers says the current Republican presidential campaign has become a reality TV campaign. Responding to concerns that a couple of years ago Cruz was the Republican senator who was willing to send the country over the so-called fiscal cliff by allowing the United States to default on its financial obligations. “I don’t particularly like Ted’s tactic, especially in that specific case. Ted was elected to the United States senate from Texas not to go to Washington to get along and kick the can down the road,” Bush said. Bush was a guest on AM 1170’s Between the Lines program.
