Assistant Fire Chief Steven Beer has earned Executive Fire Officer status after completing a four year program at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland.  The EFO program requires each student to attend four on-campus classes which are each two weeks in length. Fond du Lac High School and an elementary school were placed in lockdown as a precautionary measure Friday afternoon after some alleged threats were made.   Assisstant police chief Steve Thiry says a woman who has children at both  Rosenow Elementary school and  Fond du lac High school told police her ex husband had directed some threats toward her.  Both schools were placed on what’s called a  “Yellow Alert” until police resolved the situation.  Thiry says the man […]

Nobody was injured in a fire in the Fond du Lac County Jail.  Firefighters were called to the jail early this morning and quickly extinguished a fire in a dryer.  The fire was contained to the dryer.
