More than 60 percent of Fond du lac County residents cast ballots in Tuesday’s spring election. County Clerk Lisa Freiberg says the polls were busy throughout the day. Freiberg and county board chair Marty Farrell were pleased with the large turnout locally. “People in Fond du Lac County take their civic duty seriously,” Farrell said. Freiberg says long lines delayed results in a hotly contested race in the town of Taycheeda. “At 8:20pm Brenda Schneider, the town clerk, notified the office that she had 60 people still in line,” Freiberg said.
