Marian University will host Take Back the Night on Tuesday, April 12, at 4:30pm in the Sadoff Auditorium in the Stayer Center. One in three women and one in six men will experience sexual assault during their lifetime. Join Marian University in speaking out against violence and show support for survivors. During this event, a panel comprised of a survivor, a law enforcement professional, an advocate, a sexual assault nurse examiner, and a member of the District Attorney’s Office will describe how they work with survivors. This will be followed by a walk around the perimeter of Marian’s campus in solidarity to show support. Take Back the Night is a world-wide phenomenon bringing to light sexual violence against women. Thousands of colleges, domestic violence shelters, and rape crisis centers have held events all over the country. This event is free and open to the public.
