Nobody was injured in a car fire in Fond du Lac Thursday morning. Fire chief Pete O’Leary says shortly after 9am Thursday firefighters were called to a report of a car on fire inside a detached two-car garage on 5th Street just east of Park Avenue. “The resident said he had his vehicle worked on recently, put it back in the garage, heard a lot of noise and called it an explosion of some sort and the engine compartment was on fire,” O’Leary told WFDL news. O’Leary says the fire was contained to the car and was quickly extinguished.
