Brandon Meats and Sausage has been recognized at a statewide competition honoring different kinds of meats. The contest, hosted by the Wisconsin Association of Meat Processors, is the largest of its kind in the U.S. with almost 1,000 varieties of meat entered. Forty judges and meat processors from the state and country judged 36 different kinds of meat. Brandon Meats won first place for its bacon and chicken fiesta sausages, while also earning honors for its ham, all-pork brats, pineapple-teriyaki brats and smoked chicken. The contest was held March 31st through April 2nd in Madison.
