MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The attorney for Wisconsin’s former prisons secretary says he’s being fired by the state Department of Justice. Dan Bach represents former Corrections Secretary Ed Wall. Bach says he was informed by DOJ that Wall was to be fired Friday over a letter he sent one of Gov. Scott Walker’s aides asking for help getting his old law enforcement job back. Wall resigned as secretary in February amid an investigation into abuse at the state’s youth prison. State law guaranteed Wall his old job as DOJ investigations administrator, but he was put on leave pending the prison investigation outcome. That agency released records last month showing Wall sent a letter to Walker’s chief of staff’s home asking him to “fix this mess.”
