1-9-17 fdl school board to reconsider administrator salary increase at monday meeting

The Fond du Lac School Board will reconsider a salary increase for administrators a little over a month after voting down an across the board one percent pay hike.  At the request of board member Linda Uselmann the school board voted will reconsider the matter at their meeting Monday.  School board members expressed concern that an across the board increase gave much larger increases to administrators already making more money.   Superintendent Dr. Jim Sebert says he thinks the plan is fair.  “We did have a model when I first arrived here that was not sustained that had pieces built in where different levels of salaries earned different amounts, based on performance and younger people getting more to move them up the ladder quicker,”  Sebert told WFDL news.  Sebert says he believes teachers and administrators should receive annual pay increases.
