The Fond du lac School Board president says while he voted in favor of a school administrator pay hike this year, that doesn’t mean its necessarily going to be automatic in future years. School Board president Mark Jurgella voted in the majority when the board this week voted 6-1 in favor of an across the board one percent pay hike. “It had been budgeted for. Our tax levy was going downward so we were in a position to grant this,” Jurgella told WFDL news. “Our school report cards were very, very good so this was an opportunity to grant this raise.” School administrators have received an annual pay increase every year for at least the last 30 years. The superintendent’s position is the highest paid administrator at $151,000 a year. That compares with $159,000 for the Appleton superintendent, $160,000 in Oshkosh and nearly $238,000 for the Madison superintendent.
