1-13-17 five people arrested for high school threats in fdl and oshkosh

Five people have been arrested in unrelated school threats in Oshkosh and Fond du Lac. Authorities say an 18-year-old man and two boys, ages 17 and 15, were arrested for threats that shut down Oshkosh's two public high schools Thursday. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A health care advocacy group wants Gov. Scott Walker and Republican lawmakers to devote more money into a program to screen high school students for drug abuse.  Walker has called a special legislative session to pass 11 bills to curb opioid abuse. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A legislator plans to introduce a bill this session that would lift Wisconsin's mining moratorium.  Gov. Tommy Thompson signed the moratorium into law in 1998.
