A portion of Highway 26 was closed Tuesday morning in Dodge County after two snowplows crashed on the icy highway while putting down salt. Sheriff Dale Schmidt says the highway was closed just south of Highway 151 about a mile outside Waupun. “Because of the curvature of the road and the embankment the snowplows actually started sliding and were unable to maintain control and ended up down in the ditch,” Schmidt told WFDL news. “One of the snowplows actually struck another vehicle.”
