A man has been convicted in a Fond du Lac armed robbery. Following a two and a half day jury trial, Xavier Young was found guilty of party to the crime of armed robber and burglary. Young was one of three men involved in a home invasion inJune of 2014 with a handgun pointed at an infant child and his mother. A pre sentence investigation has been ordered. Young faces up to 35 years of prison and 20 years of extended supervision. “This was a terrifying home invasion with a gun pointed an infant while other children were also present in the home,” Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney said. “Thankfully no one suffered physical injuries. Despite attempts of intimidation and threats to their families the victims showed tremendous courage in testifying and showing that our community will never tolerate this lawless behavior. I commend the City of Fond du Lac Police Department for their investigation into this matter.”
